Quick, simple and easy to eat.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup margarine / butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ¼ tsp almond essence
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1½ cups flour
  • 20 – 30 glacé cherries

Preparation:

  • Cream fat and sugar. Beat in egg yolks and essences, then blend in flour sifted with salt.
  • Roll dough into balls and place on an un-greased baking tray. Flatten slightly and top with quartered cherries.
  • Bake at 180° C for 10 – 12 minutes.

Makes 40 – 45 biscuits.
